Darine holds a PhD in Engineering, specializing in Software & Information Tech from ÉTS, and an applied AI certificate from Columbia U, an M.Sc. degree in Digital Art & Tech, one in Multimedia Engineering, and a B.Sc. in Computer Science & Management. Currently, she is Head of AI & Automation & Emeritus Strategic AIA Advisor at the Ministère des Transports et de la Mobilité durable du Québec, and previously served as AI Lead for R&D, Advisory & Consulting, where she developed Quebec’s AI public sector strategy. Dr. Ameyed serves as an adjunct professor at the U of Chicoutimi and the U of Sherbrooke. Her extensive experience includes roles as researcher, scientific program manager, co-founder and CEO of a tech startup, and tech advisor. Her expertise spans prediction modelling, Context-Aware Systems, Cognitive IoT, Machine Learning, and Ambient Intelligence, focusing on Applied AI, IA safety, Human-Centered Computing, and data security. She is skilled in developing innovative prototypes and leading technology strategies, with a multidisciplinary background in academia and industry across Canada, Europe, and Africa.
